FIRST EDITION IN BOOK FORM. Dendrologica Britannica was originally issued in twenty-four parts from 1824-25. Noted Scottish botanist John Claudius Loudon praised Watson's work as "the most scientific work devoted exclusively to trees which has hitherto been published in England." Nissen BBI 2110.
